The Lanco United 95 U-14 Boys team gobbled up the competition at the first annual Primo Cup tournament held over Thanksgiving weekend at the USTC complex in Downingtown. They ended the weekend with a record of 4-0.
First game on Saturday was against West Chester United SC Predators 95, final score 2-1, Nathan Delgado scored the first goal and Raiyu Ayanto scored the second. Next game was against Real New Jersey SC Revolution, final score 3-0, Nathan Delgado scored two of the goals and Armin Efendic scored one which was assisted by Evan Addis. On Sunday, the first game was against BPYAA Cyclones, a Maryland team, final score 6-1, goals scored by Kody Eberly, Callen Wendler, Trey Carrier and Leo Van Buskirk. Second game was against PSC COPPA 95 Netrippers, a Philadelphia team, final score 1-0, goal scored by Leo Van Buskirk which was assisted by Nathan Delgado.
Lanco’s defense (Gabe, Ian, Callen, Kody and Thomas) did an awesome job of ending the weekend with only 2 goals scored against. These soccer players represent a mixture of our local area schools; Conestoga Valley, Hempfield, Lampeter Strasburg, Manheim Twp, Penn Manor, School District of Lancaster, Warwick, Cedar Cliff, Redland and Elizabethtown.
